Everything in Rockford is absolutely beautiful in the Fall and I was so excited when Stephanie and Jim wanted to do their engagement session in Rockford during my favorite season! Stephanie are both teachers. From that sentence you already know they are an adorable couple. It was teacher's duty to stop at the reading railroad train, of course. I can't wait for Stephanie and Jim's wedding next summer; I can already tell everything will be picture perfect.

Sometimes the weather in Michigan get's a little crazy, unfortunately that was what happened on Mary and Ryan's wedding day. We had rain, wind, and dark gloomy clouds. But sometimes it doesn't matter because the day is beautiful no matter what the weather. The smiles, the laughter, friends and family coming together, the fun, the memories, those are the things that matter the most and transform what could be a gloomy day into a gorgeous day. That was the wedding Mary and Ryan shared, I am so thankful to have been a part of it, congrats to you both.
This is a special Bible from Mary's sister who had passed away, I thought it was a wonderful heartfelt detail.

We made a quick stop into the fire station for some band-aids, isn't Ryan such a sweet and serving husband? A special thanks to the firemen who were so kind and helpful.

Prepare for picture overload because my little Chaya buns is already 1 year old, and yes I'm a dorky mom who can't help but take trillions of photos of my kid and post them on my blog...but hey it's my blog :) This year has just passed us by so fast. It really is unbelievable how big she is and all the amazing things she can do already. I've found myself growing more and more sentimental, having a child has really made time go by faster and I just want to hold on to every single moment. You might remember Chaya from her 6 month sesssion I posted on the blog a while back. It's incredible looking back and seeing how much she's grown. Since Chaya is an October baby it seemed perfect to head out to the pumpkin patch for her 1 year session, and in true Chaya form she was a little grumpy stinker as soon as the camera came out. Luckily between the grumpy faces and Chaya size meltdowns we had a few smiles and giggles. I included a few grumpy out takes because they really show her funny faces and little personality. She has a flair for drama, but man I love this little cutie pie!

We had just the perfect evening at the Grand Haven State Park for Abby and Daryl's engagement session. Abby and Daryl just got engaged, flew to Michigan from California for an engagement party and were planning a move to China in just a few short days, so in the whirlwind of the busy schedule we had a chance to fit in their engagement session. Abby grew up in Grand Haven so it felt perfect to have an quiet evening with the two of them, enjoying a few moments together alone in a place that is special to Abby's heart. They are just so sweet and adorable together and it was so great getting to know you and photographing this special time. Thank you for sharing this moment with me, I wish you all the best in your new move to China.
