Michigan Barn Wedding | Macy + Keith | Associate Alyssa

I have had the privilege of knowing Macy for a long time. We go way back to elementary school in the day of making dances to Britney Spears songs (that's how far back). When I got to hang out with Macy and Keith at their engagement session, I knew that Macy found the right guy. Keith makes Macy extremly happy and she is well deserving of happiness. One of my favorite details about Macy and Keith's day was their wedding rings. Not only do their rings symbolize the never ending love of marriage, but it is a reminder of two very special people that have impacted their lives. Macy's diamond is from her Grandma's ring and Keith's ring was his grandpa's ring. How special?! Thank you so much for allowing me to document your day. I am so happy for the both of you and can't wait to see your love grow even deeper in your marriage.

Indiana Beach Destination Wedding - Leanne & Dallas

Leanne and Dallas, from Fargo ND, had planned an intimate beach wedding on the shore line of Kemill Beach, IN.  I don't even know where to start with the awesomeness of this wedding.  Unfortunately due to the distance, Leanne and Dallas in North Dakota and me in Michigan, we didn't get the chance to meet prior to the wedding day.  There's always a little nervous anticipation when you head out to photograph a wedding for someone you've never met, but the second I met Leanne I knew this would be an awesome wedding.  Not only is Leanne sweet, funny, and beautiful, but she has incredible taste.  Every single details was special, unique, and a piece of art.  I just loved her hand crafted rings, art deco earrings, and bohemian flowing wedding dress.  Leanne and Dallas had the most emotional first look, they are so obviously in love it was just effortless for me to photograph them together.  Hazy skies threatening raindrops on their outdoor beach ceremony couldn't quell the excitement these two had to finally tie the knot.  The day was truly perfect full of laughter, love, and tears of joy.  There was not a dry eye in the audience as these two exchanged vows.  Thank you so much for choosing me to photograph such special memories.  I can't wait to see you again for the Electric Forest, I'm so excited!

I drove to Detroit bright and early a few weeks back from Trevor + Jessica's morning engagement and it was worth every minute. I ended up getting a tour of downtown Detroit from these two and we hit up some really great spots. We even made a surprise visit to the historic Michigan Theater. It was a photogs dream.
