Kristin + Matt's wedding day was a joy to be able to capture. It was a dream to photograph at The Morris Estate and having an amazing couple was icing on the cake. Some of the highlights of the day were when Kristin's sister and her mom gave her Tiffany and Co. pearls right before she walked down the aisle, Kristin's bouquet made by her sister that featured some of their families brooches (and all the decorations and cake made by her sister as well... sister of the year award goes to Alexis!), Kristin + Matt's no look where they exchanged their vows to each other in private, and the Whistle Pigs that played at the Benson's Place and kept everyone dancing all night. Kristin + Matt have an adorable love and I am so excited to show you all a little snippet of their day. Enjoy!

Jessi + Steven are some of the sweetest people you'll meet. Steven is constantly making Jessi laugh and their wedding day was stress free and all around enjoyable. For their first look, they made the time to have a picnic under the apple blossoms and it was just perfect. I love that they made it a priority and took the time to relax and enjoy every moment of the day that they said I do. We took pictures at a very special place in Jessi and her families lives; Jessi's grandma passed away and we photographed the majority of their portraits on her property. Another favorite part of the day was when Jessi was getting ready; her family was super fun and everyone was lending a helping hand making it great for photos. Congratulations Jessi + Steven! I am so excited for your new beginning as Mr. and Mrs.

I traveled down to Nashville, TN for Marcus and Ashley's engagement session at the very start of spring, and while it still felt gray, brown, and bleak in Michigan, as I drove further south, trees turned green, blossoms were blooming, and the sunshine was so warm and refreshing (oddly enough it snowed here in Michigan the day of my return...thanks Michigan for your warm welcome back). But that wasn't the only reason why their engagement session was amazing. Ashley and Marcus are the sweetest people you'll ever meet, they have all that sweet southern hospitality and charm. They pre-planned a wonderful day for our shoot and showed us around the Nashville area while we hung out and got to know each other a little better. We began the day at the Carnton Plantation in historic Franklin TN, which is an incredibly beautiful place to visit, hopefully I've given it justice in these photos. We even wandered into downtown Franklin for lunch at a old pharmacy turned restaurant for a bite before then heading downtown Nashville for more amazing backdrops for pictures. Couldn't have asked for a better trip, it was truly awesome to spend the day with two incredible people who love each other deeply and document their love in the place they call home. Thank you both for inviting me down, I can't wait to see you again for wedding day!
Amy + Tim had a beautiful Spring day for their wedding... and when I say beautiful I mean it; the weather was perfect especially for the end of April. Amy + Tim truly are a perfect match and it was an honor to document their wedding day and witness their love for each other and their families. One of my favorite details of Amy + Tim's day was the heart patch inside of Amy's dress that was her moms and both of her grandmothers. Amy's something borrowed was a beautiful bracelet that was her moms and her other bracelet was a gift from Tim. The day before the wedding Tim gave his mom, Amy's mom, and Amy matching David Yurman cable bracelets. It was something special for all the wonderful women in his life and matched their wedding bands. The day was filled with beautiful love, the cutest kids, donuts, and good people. Congratulations to Amy + Tim. I am so excited for your new beginning together.
